Dr. Ormond is such a kind and caring doctor. He's beyond approachable and really listens to what you say. He's gifted! He is so encouraging! We are in the process of solving the root of the worst burning nerve pain I have ever experienced. He's skilled at finding the source and going after it. I appreciate that he doesn't just throw pills at me like so many doctors do but actually has solutions to try to fix the problem. I have had 2 procedures so far to try to eliminate that horrible pain. Dr. Ormond went over my MRI and explained exactly what he believes is the epicenter of my problem. If I could give Dr Ormond 10 stars I would!! 🌟

Dr Ormond is amazing. He saw my MRI and knew exactly what I needed done. Within a few days he had insurance approved and I went in for the procedure. I had it done without sedation. I would have rather had sedation to calm my nerves but it wasn't that bad. If but If i had to do it again I absolutely would. Sciatic pain is no joke. I'm so thankful this pain is gone. I can finally get back to my normal life. Thank you Dr Ormond you are a blessing.

Great place. Very small compared to my old doctors office. But every one is so patient and friendly. Almost like a family taking care of you. Doctor there really know his busy. I would most definitely recommend to family and friends.

Dual board-certified in Anesthesiology and Interventional Pain Management, Dr, Ormond graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, completed his anesthesia residency as Chief Resident at Case Western University in Cleveland, followed by an interventional pain management fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. He then moved to the Phoenix metro area where he has been practicing since 2018. Dr. Ormond started his own practice to provide the person-centric care essential for pain patients.

What Is Our Opioid Policy?
Atlas Pain Specialists has a policy regarding the prescribing of controlled substances. Each patient will be evaluated on an individualized basis and some may not be a candidate for chronic opiate therapy.

In order to protect your health, patients are monitored closely for possible addiction, abuse, and diversion. This monitoring may include follow-up office visits, urine drug screening, and the sharing of medical records between your physicians and your pharmacies.

Atlas Pain Specialists reserves the right to determine if we will take over the prescribing of controlled substances from other providers on a case by case basis.

Patients should not expect to receive a prescription for a controlled substance at your first visit.
